Lenovo Thinkpad T410 Disassembly (Clean Cooling Fan, Remove Keyboard)

In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble Lenovo Thinkpad T410 to remove and replace the DVD drive, RAM, keyboard, palm rest, heat sink and cooling fan. Refer to this guide, you can repair, upgrade and clean your Thinkpad T410.

Turn off your laptop. Unlock and remove the battery.
Remove nine screws from the bottom case.



Remove the ram cover. You can find a screw. Remove the screw.



Unlock and pull out the DVD drive.



Remove three screws from the battery bay.



Flip over your laptop. Lift up the keyboard.
Disconnect the keyboard cable.
Remove the keyboard.



Remove two screws securing the palm rest.



Remove three screws securing the palm rest.



Pry up the palm rest and disconnect the touchpad cable.



Remove two screws securing the speaker and disconnect the speaker cable.



Remove five screws securing the heat sink. Disconnect the cooling fan cable from the motherboard.



Remove the heat sink and cooling fan.



Now you can clean Lenovo Thinkpad T410 cooling fan.
